ICYMI: FEC reports show NH Dems are in Pelosi’s pocket
Year-end financial disclosures for Chris Pappas and Annie Kuster show they are loyal to Washington liberals instead of New Hampshire voters.
WMUR reports that 61% of the donations Pappas raised in the final month of 2020 came from Nancy Pelosi or a Pelosi-aligned PAC, and less than 10% of Kuster’s end-of-year haul came from New Hampshire donors.
This certainly raises the question: who do Pappas and Kuster really work for?

NH Primary Source: GOP tweaks Pappas over Pelosi contribution

During his successful reelection campaign, Democratic U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas was accused daily of being a “puppet” of, a “clone” of, a total loyalist to – you name it — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi by Republican challenger Matt Mowers and his GOP supporters.
The election is long over. Pappas won. But the Pappas-Pelosi “watch” continues.
When Pappas filed his year-end financial disclosure report last week, it showed that between Nov. 24 and Dec. 31, he raised only $31,000. It’s common that post-election fundraising numbers are small.
But Republicans point out that $19,000 of it – or 61 percent – came from Pelosi or a Pelosi-aligned PAC.
“Nancy Pelosi for Congress” contributed $4,000; “PAC to the Future,” Pelosi’s leadership PAC, gave $10,000; and the “House Majority PAC,” which is aligned with her, gave $5,000.
Pappas has already filed a statement of candidacy to run for a third term next year, and while Mowers hasn’t said if he’ll run again, he is being encouraged to do so by Republicans who were impressed with his campaign. And don’t forget, the 1st Congressional District’s boundaries would very well be redrawn by the next election to favor a Republican candidate.
“After campaigning as a bipartisan voice for New Hampshire, Chris Pappas has reverted to his D.C. ways, bowing at the altar of Nancy Pelosi in exchange for max out checks from her PACs to make up for his lackluster fundraising efforts,” said NHGOP Chair Stephen Stepanek.
U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster’s end-of-year report shows that she raised $9,800 between Nov. 24 and Dec. 31 – and Republicans point out that only $800 of it came from New Hampshire donors. But the total contributions for the month-long period is of course so tiny that it’s hard to draw any conclusions.
Mowers, by the way, reported no contributions and $2,793 in contribution refunds during the period. He ended the year with $6,280 in cash on hand.
Steve Negron, the 2nd District GOP nominee last year, reported no contributions during the final six weeks of 2020 and ended the year with debts and obligations totaling $285,107. He reported his campaign committee has cash on hand of a negative $3,787.
