Bret Baier: House Dems may unseat a Republican
March 12, 2021
In case you missed it, last night Fox News’ Bret Baier broke down House Democrats’ attempt to subvert democracy and steal a seat in Iowa’s Second Congressional District:
For those who are new to this issue, here are some facts you need to know about the race in Iowa’s Second Congressional District:
- After an initial canvass, Mariannette Miller-Meeks won the race in Iowa’s Second Congressional District.
- Rita Hart asked for a recount across all 24 counties in the district. Miller-Meeks prevailed again.
- After the initial canvass and a recount, a unanimous vote by the bipartisan State Canvassing Board certified Miller-Meeks as the winner.
- Rita Hart elected not to use the appeal process available through Iowa’s courts, because she knew she would lose again.
- Instead, Hart asked the Democrat-controlled United States House of Representatives to overturn state-certified results of the election.
- The Des Moines Register Editorial Board condemned Hart’s attempt to subvert the will of Iowa voters.
- Nancy Pelosi opened the door yesterday to overturning the results of the election.
- The last time Democrats stole an election like this it helped lead to a Republican takeover of the House.
