Sorry, Susan – we’re going to talk about it
Susan Wild’s opposition to schools reopening has had dire consequences, but she’s desperately hoping not “to dwell too much on the negative” and wants “to emphasize that we shouldn’t talk about schools having been closed.”
Wild previously went against CDC guidance that it was safe to return to the classroom, claiming schools shouldn’t reopen until the fall.
But Wild is now scared of taking the blame as school closures have come at significant educational, fiscal, and emotional costs to students.
NRCC Comment: “After kowtowing to teachers unions on keeping schools closed, Susan Wild is responsible for the education crisis at hand, whether she wants to acknowledge the ‘negative’ consequences of her actions or not.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Samantha Bullock
