Dem policies = economic catastrophe
Democrats promised their $1.9 trillion “American Rescue Plan” would save the economy, but with each passing day it is starting to look like the bill is doing the opposite.
Economists warned that the bill could lead to inflation. Now, the Wall Street Journal reports “Americans accustomed to years of low inflation are beginning to pay sharply higher prices for goods and services.”
Nancy Pelosi said the American Rescue Plan would put “workers back on the job.” Instead, the United States posted the biggest jobs report miss in 23 years because it turns out when you pay people not to work, they don’t work.
Republicans warned that the $350 billion Democrats spent on state and local governments was unnecessary and wasteful. Now, the Wall Street Journal reports “shortfalls were, in some cases, not as bad as initially feared or nonexistent, and the federal aid could leave some governments unusually flush.” California reported a $75.7 billion budget surplus.
With results like this, it’s no wonder the Washington Post is reporting that Democrats are having trouble building support for their $4 trillion tax and spend socialist agenda. DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney even took the unusual step of warning the WH that their trillion-dollar tax hikes “could hurt vulnerable House Democrats up for reelection in 2022.”
