NY Dems support anti-law enforcement agenda despite dire consequences

New York City law enforcement officials warned that Democrats’ cuts to police funding “have proven detrimental.”

Officials noted at a roundtable last week “that since New York City decided to cut its police funding by $736 million, it has seen a 73 percent increase in shootings and 17 percent increase in homicides.”

According to New York Police Benevolent Association President Michael O’Meara, “This defunding of police and the escalation of crime is a direct, direct consequence of attacking the police.”

The group also said Democrat policies like their pro-criminal bail reform measures have put more violent criminals back on the streets.
