WTAS: Biden’s never-ending border crisis

September 22, 2021

Biden’s disastrous border crisis keeps getting worse.

Thousands of illegal migrants camped out under the Del Rio International Bridge are being released into the United States, while others are attacking law enforcement when forced to leave.

Here are some of the top stories this week (and it’s only Wednesday!) highlighting Democrats’ incompetence:

Associated Press: Officials: Many Haitian migrants are being released in US

“Many Haitian migrants camped in a small Texas border town are being released in the United States, two U.S. officials said, undercutting the Biden administration’s public statements that the thousands in the camp faced immediate expulsion.”

The Washington Post: Democrats’ immigration policies are a gift to Republicans

“Biden’s job approval on immigration is only 36 percent in the RealClearPolitics average. That is even lower than his approval on foreign policy, which is shocking considering the public attention given to the administration’s scandalously inept withdrawal from Afghanistan. Biden’s inability, or unwillingness, to put Americans first when it comes to immigration is the single biggest political problem he faces.”

Politico: Biden slips into political quicksand amid Haitian migrant buildup

“The cascading criticisms and calls for policy reversals underscored what the White House has long feared — that the issue of immigration is, for Biden, the equivalent of political quicksand.”

Axios: Report: U.S. releasing Haitian migrants on “very large scale”

“Haitians have been freed on a “very, very large scale” in recent days, according to one U.S. official, who put the figure in the thousands.”

Washington Post: Amid furor over border images, Biden faces Democratic backlash on immigration

“Immigration has vexed Biden since the start of his presidency, and he has privately voiced concerns about being tagged by Republicans as too lenient.”

Rueters: Angry scenes at Haiti airport add to Biden pressure over expulsions

“On Tuesday, the camp on the U.S. side of the river had expanded into a nearby forest area as migrants sought shade and cover. Some families built makeshift tents with branches and leaves, while parents washed their children using jugs of river water. One toddler had an untreated hernia on his stomach.”

Los Angeles Times: Confined to U.S. border camp, Haitian migrants wade to Mexico for supplies

“According to the migrants, they’ve been forced to traverse the river daily to buy food because they’re not allowed to cook in the camp and the U.S. has failed to provide any real sustenance. The camp has grown during the last week to more than 14,000.”
