Cuellar and Gonzalez warned Pelosi of hospital cuts, then voted for them

December 13, 2021

Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez warned Nancy Pelosi a provision in Build Back Better that would cut funding from low-income hospitals in Texas was a “misguided penalty that puts our most vulnerable constituents at risk.”

They voted for it anyway.

Democrats’ cuts will reduce federal funding for hospitals in states like Texas by $34.5 BILLION over 10 years.

NRCC COMMENT: “Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez knowingly put their ‘most vulnerable constituents at risk’ to show loyalty to Nancy Pelosi and pass trillions in reckless spending that will drive inflation through the roof.” — NRCC Spokeswoman Torunn Sinclair
