Inflation slams VA-02

A new report from WTKR details just how bad inflation is for VA-02 residents.

A retiree said, “Everything’s going up! I’m talking about meat, cereal, eggs, milk – everything…I can’t eat out as much as I used to, and I can’t buy as many clothes like I used to.”

“It’s difficult these days for low-income folks to afford to be able to put healthy, nutritious food on their table,” said one food bank operator who noted, two years ago, a case of corn cost about $13 now it’s doubled to $26.

This comes as a new AP poll showed 68% of respondents cited inflation as a major concern.

But Elaine Luria isn’t concerned. She voted for BBB which even Democrats warned would exacerbate inflation.
