Midterm upset alert: Maloney is in trouble

Despite leading House Democrats’ campaign arm, Sean Patrick Maloney’s own seat is at risk of being swept away in a red wave, National Journal reports.

Democrats’ aggressive partisan gerrymander in New York didn’t benefit Maloney quite as much as other members of his party.

And Maloney’s “surprisingly progressive posture” on everything from eliminating the filibuster to “embracing controversial” anti-law enforcement policies could be “a major handicap” for him as it was for New York Democrats in 2020.
