NEW POLL finds Hispanics shifting toward Republicans

The NRCC today released the results of its most recent battleground survey, a deep dive on a key target group: Hispanic voters. 

And it’s not good for Texas Democrats like Henry Cuellar, whose race was just ranked as more competitive by handicappers who believe “Republicans have gained an intriguing opportunity in Laredo.”

The poll found Republicans have made substantial gains among Hispanic voters in battleground districts and severely diminished the Democrats’ advantage. 

Additionally, Republicans hold substantial leads on the issues most important to Hispanic voters: the economy, rising costs, crime and protecting the American Dream.    

With data like this, it’s easy to see why Texas Democrats are shaking in their boots.
