A February crime wave that saw a nearly 60 percent jump in incidents compared to last year has left New York reeling.

• 32 murders in February alone
• Car theft up nearly 105%
• Grand larceny up nearly 80%
• Robberies up 56%
• Burglaries up 44%
• Assaults up 22%
• Rapes up 35%
