Rose’s comptroller wants to keep cashless bail

March 23, 2022

Nearly two-thirds of New Yorkers support changes to the state’s controversial bail reform law.

But New York City Comptroller Brad Lander wants “Albany lawmakers to strengthen implementation of those bail reforms” and denies that a rise in crime is connected to cashless bail.

Guess who served on Lander’s transition committee, even after Lander came out in support of defunding the police? None other than Max Rose.
