California gas prices still rising, Salas does nothing

While gas prices are beginning to decline across the country, they’re still on the rise in California.

Why? 

• “California’s high emission standards require a cleaner, more expensive mix of gas, which refineries outside of the state aren’t necessarily producing on a regular basis,” according to the Bay Area News Group.  

• The publication also reported California has “higher taxes for environmental regulations and infrastructure.”

And what is Rudy Salas doing about it? 

Nothing. When given the opportunity to suspend the gas tax, he skipped the vote instead.
