GALLUP: Concern about crime at 6-year high

A new Gallup poll shows that concern about crime is at the highest level since 2016 with 56% of Americans saying they worry about crime a “great deal.”

In VA-02, the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission, which typically focuses on bridges and roads, held a special meeting on…crime. 

This came after a recent violent weekend where 16 people were shot and four were killed. 

But Elaine Luria isn’t concerned. The Washington Examiner reported “rising crime” isn’t even mentioned on Luria’s “priorities” page.
