NRCC Launches New Initiative to Highlight Candidates

WASHINGTON — The NRCC today launched Project Spotlight, a new initiative highlighting top GOP recruits who represent the unique stories and diversity of the Republican Party in communities across the country.

The first candidate featured in the project is Monica De La Cruz, who is running to become the first Republican to represent TX-15 in more than 100 years 100 years. TX-15 is located in South Texas along the US-Mexico border.

“We launched this project to help talented candidates like Monica tell their stories at home and increase their visibility nationwide,” said NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer. “Republicans have smashed every recruiting record we set last cycle and we are excited for voters to see who Republican candidates are and what they represent.”
