FL Dems’ recruitment crisis rages on

The new Florida map is official but Democrats’ recruitment crisis in the Sunshine State rages on.

Democrats have no candidates in FL-07 and the Cook Political Report states, “Democrats aren’t expected to seriously compete [here] in the fall…”

And in South Florida the situation is worse for Democrats. 

Regarding FL-27 and FL-28, Cook writes, “That means less than 18 months after Democrats held both seats, the party lacks credible candidates in both – an exclamation point on how the 2022 cycle is shaping up.”

And Donna Shalala, who claimed she would decide on running after the map was final, hasn’t said a peep.
