Max Rose’s New York Vol. 11

May 2, 2022

CNN reports that “the fear of ending up another crime statistic has cast a shadow over” New Yorkers’ lives.

With a 42.7% increase in major crimes this year through April 24 compared to the same period last year, this is what’s on the mind of New Yorkers grappling with Democrats’ crime wave:

  • “I thought maybe [a heavy leather jacket] would be just a little bit better protection than a thin coat, in case I got shot.”
  • “What will happen to me if I take the train? Or if I walk on the wrong street? Or when I take a ride on my bike?”
  • “I live with constant fear and anxiety that I am going to be someone’s next target.”
  • “Even in this beautiful weather, I want to walk around but for what? I don’t feel safe.”
  • “I should feel safe at home.”

NRCC Comment: “New Yorkers who want to feel safe at home will not find their solution in anti-cop Max Rose, who supports more of the same dangerous policies that have created the mess New Yorkers are currently suffering through.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Samantha Bullock
