Dems are freaking out about NY-19

Democrats are sounding the alarms about Antonio Delgado’s selection to be Lieutenant Governor and what it means for Republicans’ chances to flip the seat.

Fellow congressional quitter Tom Suozzi said Gov. Hochul picked “a member of Congress in a truly swing district to give up his seat.”

One Democratic political operative said between redistricting and the Delgado appointment, “it’s been a rough week for Nancy Pelosi in New York.”

And the Working Families Party said they are “deeply concerned about the consequences of” Delgado’s appointment, calling the decision “short-sighted.”
