Maine residents already worried about next winter’s home heating costs

June 10, 2022

Mainers spent last winter paying record-high home heating costs, and with heating oil prices continuing to rise, residents are “already worried about paying their heating bills next winter.”

News Center Maine reports heating oil costs have already hit well above $5 per gallon in some parts of the state and costly bills “are becoming more common.”

NRCC Comment: “Jared Golden’s strategy of doing as little as possible in Washington is great for someone who doesn’t want voters to know where they stand on the issues, but horrible for constituents who want their representative to take action on real problems like being unable to afford to heat their homes two winters in a row.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Samantha Bullock
