Salas caused California’s high gas prices, can’t redeem himself now

It doesn’t matter how many press conferences Rudy Salas gives, his actions show he hasn’t worked to lower Californians’ gas prices.

Not only did Salas skip multiple votes to suspend California’s gas tax, but he also voted to extend California’s cap and trade program, which a California legislative budget analysis says will raise Californians’ price of gas as much as 73 cents a gallon.

California’s gas tax is set to increase to 53.9 cents a gallon on July 1.
