Magaziner using taxpayer-funded office to boost campaign

WPRI reports Seth Magaziner is using his taxpayer-funded position as Rhode Island State Treasurer to boost his congressional campaign.

Earlier this spring, “a 28-page, full-color ‘2021 Annual Report’” was sent to from the “Office of Rhode Island General Treasurer Seth Magaziner” to voters and donors touting his accomplishments.

The mailers also reached out-of-state donors to Magaziner’s campaign.

Magaziner’s office has also aired TV ads touting his work, though they failed to disclose how much was spent.
