Reliable South Texas Dem stronghold is “crumbling”
The Economist reports the once reliable Democrat stronghold along the U.S.-Mexico border in South Texas “now appears to be crumbling,” because “Democrats’ national brand has become associated with gun control, trans rights, lax border policy and limited support for law enforcement.”
So, it’s no wonder “life-long Democrat” Vicente Gonzalez is “very concerned” about his reelection prospects, and Henry Cuellar with his “A+ Democrat voting record” is begging national Democrats to take his race seriously.
NRCC COMMENT: “As Democrats’ South Texas stronghold crumbles, Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez will tumble down with it because their policies have led to a never-ending border crisis and skyrocketing prices at the gas pump and grocery store.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Torunn Sinclair
