Starbucks abandons Portland over safety concerns

Starbucks announced it will close two Portland locations over safety concerns for workers and customers, saying “Simply put, we cannot serve as partners if we don’t first feel safe at work.”

This comes after the release of Portland Police’s crime statistics report showing there have been at least 37 homicides in Portland.
