Eric Sorensen says his top issue is combating climate change.

But his latest climate change “solution” would cost Illinois families hundreds of dollars more for public transportation if implemented.

Congressional candidate Eric Sorensen’s latest tweet claims that all high-speed trains run entirely on wind energy in the Netherlands. However, Sorensen fails to mention that passengers of public transportation pay hundreds more in fares than their counterparts in the United States.

One way public transportation is 87% higher in the Netherlands ($3.55) compared to the United States ($2.00). A monthly pass for public transportation is 58% more in the Netherlands ($102.42) compared to the United States ($65.00).
