Jones’ chief slams Maloney over new ad

Mondaire Jones’ office might still be a little angry with Sean Patrick Maloney for bullying Jones out of NY-17.

Jones’ former chief of staff took to Twitter to attack Maloney over his new ad that brags about his opposition to big oil.

According to Zach Fisch, when Jones circulated a letter opposing the expansion of the Danskammer power plant in Newburgh to expand its capacity to burn liquid natural gas, Maloney pushed back against Jones’ office.

Fisch said the letter “put [Maloney] in a bad spot” because he “privately supported the expansion of Danskammer” but “was unwilling to say so publicly.”
