Vargas lies in new campaign ad

In his latest ad, Democrat Tony Vargas says he’ll pass middle-class tax cuts if elected to Congress.

But Vargas worked to raise income taxes on anyone making more than $100,000, which would make Nebraska’s income tax rate one of the highest in the country.

Also, his own party recently passed tax hikes on the middle class to the tune of $20 billion, according to the nonpartisan CBO.
