Higher prices here to stay in Alaska
CNBC reports “Inflation rose more than expected in August as rising shelter and food costs offset a drop in gas prices, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Tuesday.”
Food prices are expected to increase by 11% this year, and electricity prices are still soaring.
But instead of fighting to lower costs, Alaska Democrat Mary Peltola is joining President Biden in support of the so-called ‘Inflation Reduction Act’, which raised middle-class taxes and failed to reduce inflation.
NRCC Comment: “Instead of addressing ballooning prices, Mary Peltola is a rubber stamp for President Biden’s harmful spending that will hike taxes on the middle class and hire more IRS agents to audit struggling Alaskans.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Courtney Parella
