Car thefts set records in Portland

September 27, 2022

Car thefts are on the rise in Portland.

Portland Police data found that while 2021 set a record for vehicle thefts, Portland already surpassed it with 7,395 stolen cars in the first eight months of 2022.

This comes as Portland residents sell their homes as homelessness and violent crime continue surging following Democrats’ “defund the police” movement.

NRCC Comment: “Democrats’ anti-police platform has left Portland in shambles, and Oregon families can’t trust Jamie McLeod-Skinner and Andrea Salinas to keep them safe.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Courtney Parella
