NEW: DCCC starts cutting off vulnerable incumbents
September 30, 2022
Punchbowl reports Tom O’Halleran told donors the DCCC has “spread their wings too far” on challengers and incumbents who “are not going to get elected.”
The DCCC also told O’Halleran they will not invest in his race because it is too “difficult to win.”
This follows the DCCC refusing to back incumbent Al Lawson because they know his race is a lost cause.
NRCC Comment: “The DCCC is abandoning their incumbent members who have no chance of winning in November. Sean Patrick Maloney should expect a lot of frantic phone calls today.” – NRCC Communications Director Michael McAdams
