Golden’s lobster protests don’t pass the smell test

Jared Golden is scrambling to cover up the fact that he’s beholden to radical environmental interests and voted to strengthen the agency cracking down on lobstermen.

But his Monday morning quarterbacking begs the question: why did Golden wait until Bruce Poliquin called him out to start pretending he cares about lobstermen?

Golden knew in August 2021 that NOAA was implementing new burdensome regulations on Maine lobstermen that they opposed, yet Golden still voted to give NOAA over $6 billion in funding to enforce those regulations through the infrastructure bill and IRA.
