Marcy Kaptur must reject foreign money benefitting her campaign

Marcy Kaptur says opposes dark money, but she received support from foreign billionaire Hansjörg Wyss laundered through an opaque web of dark money vehicles.

AP reported today on how Wyss’ foreign dark money network, which paid for TV ads benefitting Kaptur, skirts the ban on foreign money in campaigns.

Kaptur said, “Congress must investigate to ensure our elections are protected against foreign interference.”

Yet, Kaptur benefitted from Wyss’ foreign influence. 

“Marcy Kaptur is a liar and a hypocrite bankrolled by a foreign billionaire’s dark money conspiracy. Kaptur must reject the foreign dark money used to prop up her political campaigns or be complicit in this perversion of the law.” – NRCC Spokesman Chris Gustafson
