April 26, 2023
In case you missed it (or haven’t already experienced it yourself), Charlotte-area grocery shoppers spent 11.7% more last year than they did in 2021.
Nationally, grocery store inflation increased by 11.4% in 2022, the highest yearly percentage change since 1974.
“Charlotte grocery shoppers can personally attest to how inflation is destroying their personal budgets. Joe Biden and his Democrat friends in Congress like Jeff Jackson are stealing hard-earned money from our paychecks by enabling these skyrocketing grocery prices.” — NRCC Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar
