Dave Min’s horrible week
May 9, 2023
It was a horrible week for Dave Min’s Congressional bid as “Min’s chances just took a big hit.”
- First, Dave Min got arrested for drunk driving after running a red light with headlights off.
- Then Min tried to cover up his old tweet about drunk driving — unsuccessfully.
- After that, an Orange County Register column said “Orange County Democrats should show some integrity and drop all support for Dave Min.”
- Then it came to light that Min was driving a government car at the time.
- Hours after his arrest, Min showed up at another bar to give a speech.
- After that, a Los Angeles Times story asked, “Will a Democrat’s drunk-driving arrest in Sacramento shape control of Congress?”
- Finally, an Orange County Register column said “Orange County Democrats aren’t looking so great in 2024 congressional races.”
And the negative press for Min won’t be ending soon. Min’s arraignment will be in July.
“The Democrats staying silent about Dave Min’s drunk driving arrest are rolling the political dice. Will Democrats dump Dave Min or stick it out with a damaged candidate in a top GOP pickup opportunity?” – NRCC Spokesperson Ben Petersen
