Gonzalez is Mr. Say What’s Politically Safe
Vicente Gonzalez says one thing and votes another way on the border.
Gonzalez said he was in favor of extending Title 42. But today, as Brownsville – his own district – is currently being overrun with illegal immigrants, he voted against extending Title 42.
Actions speak louder than words: Gonzalez is in favor of weak borders.
Gonzalez cosponsored a bill to give amnesty to more than 2 million illegal immigrants, was the sole Democrat to vote against legislation to combat the opioid crisis and voted against sharing criminal information with DHS authorities to deport illegal immigrants posing a public safety or national security risk. And before he was a congressman, Gonzalez’s law firm represented an array of felony drug dealers and street gang leaders.
“They say talk is cheap, and Vicente Gonzalez is a bargain bin politician. South Texans deserve to have a Congressman who will stick their neck out to do what’s right when it matters.” — NRCC Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar
