KCK police don’t have a friend in Davids
June 7, 2023
Violent crime is rising across the Kansas City area and 2023 is on track to beat 2022 in homicides. At this point in 2022 — which was the second deadliest year on record — Kansas City had recorded 67 homicides.
Unfortunately for Kansans, Sharice Davids isn’t doing anything to help them. In fact, she is voting against legislation that would make communities safer.
- She voted against the POLICE Act, a bill to mandate deportation for any non-citizen guilty of assaulting a police officer or first responder.
- Davids also voted against condemning policies that effectively gave more power to anti-police activists in the District of Columbia.
“Sharice Davids’ extreme anti-law enforcement agenda is tearing apart police forces and making communities more dangerous. At a time when Kansans and the KCPD need someone who has their back, Davids has made it clear she is not that person.” — NRCC Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar
