Police report undermines Val Hoyle’s claims on racism scandal
The Val Hoyle-BOLI racism scandal just got much worse.
A “key finding of a state-paid investigation” which “Hoyle and the labor bureau played up” has been “directly undermined by a police report.”
The Oregonian reported:
- “That explosive finding, contained in court filings, calls into question the fairness and accuracy of the $158,000 state-funded investigation that appeared to exonerate Hoyle.”
- Hoyle’s “alleged conduct as labor commissioner is a primary focus of the civil rights lawsuit.”
Today’s revelation is the latest about Hoyle’s toxic tenure at BOLI. Hoyle also became embroiled in the La Mota corruption scandal when she repaid her La Mota donors with a $555,000 taxpayer grant to their shady non-profit.
“Val Hoyle is failing to represent Oregonians with her first months in Congress overshadowed by scandal after scandal about her ethical lapses and corruption at BOLI. As with her involvement with La Mota corruption, Val Hoyle cannot simply wash her hands of this racism scandal.” – NRCC Spokesperson Ben Petersen
