Q3 fundraising bonanza for House GOP
Vulnerable House Republicans hold a 50% cash on hand fundraising advantage:
Roll Call: “The 33 Republican incumbents in battleground races — defined as those rated Toss-up, Tilt, Lean or Likely by Inside Elections with Nathan L. Gonazales — raised a combined $19.1 million, compared with $14.7 million for the 31 Democratic incumbents with similar races ahead, a CQ Roll Call analysis found.
The average Republican in the group raised $580,000 to the average Democrat’s $529,000, and when the quarter ended the average Republican had nearly $1.5 million in their account to the average Democrat’s $1 million.”
And House Republicans who represent districts that President Joe Biden won raised, on average, $573K in Q3:
The Messenger: “Most Republicans in these districts also reported a significant chunk of cash on hand this quarter: All but three reported more than $1 million in the bank. And on average… reported they raised roughly $573,000 this quarter.”
NRCC National Press Secretary Will Reinert said “House Republicans continued their fundraising bonanza this quarter as members continue to put their campaigns in a position that allows for growing the majority.”
