NRCC Statement on NC-14 Primary Election

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released the following statement on North Carolina’s 14th Congressional district primary election:

“Congratulations to Tim Moore on his primary election victory. Tim has served North Carolina families in the state legislature for 12 years and the Speaker of the state House for 9 years. North Carolina voters will overwhelmingly send Tim to Congress in November.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar

After redistricting, current NC-14 Representative Democrat Jeff Jackson declined to run for reelection in this newly-drawn seat. Trump won the new NC-14 by 16%. Cook Political Report rates it as “Solid Republican.”
