NRCC Statement on NC-13 Primary Election

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released the following statement on North Carolina’s 13th Congressional district primary election:

“Congratulations to Brad Knott on his primary victory. As a former federal prosecutor who was tough on the cartels, Brad is a perfect antidote to extreme House Democrats’ dangerous wide-open border. North Carolina voters will overwhelmingly send Brad to Congress in November.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar

After redistricting, current NC-13 Representative Democrat Wiley Nickel declined to run for reelection in this newly-drawn seat. Trump won the new NC-13 by 17.2%. Cook Political Report rates it “Solid Republican.”
