NRCC Statement on Pat Ryan’s DNC Speech

If you are covering Pat Ryan’s speech at the DNC tonight, please consider the following statement from the National Republican Congressional Committee. 

“Pat Ryan is an extreme Democrat who pretends to play moderate while simultaneously turning his home county into a sanctuary county. His charade is in complete contrast to his actual record wherein he voted against securing our border, against funding for the military in order to pay for illegal immigrants’ healthcare, and withholding aid from Israel.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Savannah Viar

• Pat Ryan made Ulster County a sanctuary county via executive order.
• Pat Ryan voted against critical funding for our military and veterans because the bill prohibits sidetracking the VA to pay for free health care for illegal immigrants.
• Pat Ryan joined his colleagues in voting to withhold defense services to Israel.
