➡️ On the border crisis:

“The border crisis is affecting us in Virginia, absolutely. We have to go back to commonsense solutions… The fentanyl issue expends so much resources from our local law enforcement, so we have got to clean it up.”

➡️ On his priorities in Congress:

“I’m focused on the future. I’m trying to see how I can make our economy work for folks and make it more affordable for people to live. I want to make sure our border is secure so we can take this fentanyl that’s poisoning off the road. And I want to take care of our veterans. That’s what I’m focused on.”

➡️ On bipartisanship:

“I was a Green Beret in the Army, so when we were on missions in Afghanistan and Iraq and we didn’t wear a blue or red jersey. We all wore the United States jersey… That’s the kind of person I am. I’m mission oriented. I want to get things accomplished.”

➡️ On Vindman’s lies about his military record:

“[Vindman] has lied about his military record. He’s lied about his rank in the military. He’s lied about his time overseas that he used weapons of war in combat when he knows very well he didn’t… If he’s willing to lie about that, what else is he willing to lie about?”
