Young Kim Pushes Back on CCP, Defends Human Rights
Yesterday, Congresswoman Young Kim delivered another bipartisan win, passing the Uyghur Policy Act of 2025, a landmark measure to confront the Chinese Communist Party’s human rights abuses.
The bill creates a comprehensive, multilateral strategy to raise international awareness of the persecution of Uyghurs, directs the State Department to effectively respond to human rights abuses in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, and pushes back on the CCP’s efforts to silence Uyghur voices and stories around the globe.
“Congresswoman Young Kim is proving that real leadership means standing up to the Chinese Communist Party and defending human rights. This bill shines a light on Beijing’s atrocities, strengthens America’s moral leadership, and shows that bipartisan solutions can hold the CCP accountable.” – NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez
