Gabe Vasquez doubles down on soft-on-crime lunacy
Out of touch Democrat Gabe Vasquez just voted against the DC Crimes Act, once again choosing their soft-on-crime policies over protecting our nation’s communities.
The commonsense bill blocks the D.C. Council from weakening criminal sentences, ends the absurd practice of letting 24-year-old offenders be treated as “youths,” and forces transparency by requiring public reporting of youth crime data – yet Vasquez just voted against it.
This isn’t the first time Vasquez has chosen criminals over public safety. His record speaks for itself:
- He protected soft on crime policies
- He supported sanctuary city policies
- He didn’t back law enforcement
- He refused to condemn violent, anti-law enforcement riots
“This is a clear and concerning pattern: out of touch Democrat Gabe Vasquez will always side with soft-on-crime, far-left radicals over safer communities. It’s dangerous and absurd, but par for the course for Vasquez.”— NRCC Spokesman Reilly Richardson
