OUTRAGEOUS RILEY: Josh Plays Partisan Games, Gambles With New Yorkers’ Safety

Last week, out of touch Democrat Josh Riley voted to shut down the government and sell out New Yorkers.

His reckless vote could put New Yorkers directly in harm’s way:

• Threatening families’ safety due to law enforcement officers, members of the military, and TSA workers may be forced to work without pay.
• Blocking 38,043 veterans from accessing critical programs, including employment assistance.
• Forcing  4,285 federal workers in NY-19 to work without pay.
• Jeopardizing millions in loan financing for the state’s 2.4 million small businesses.
• Limiting access to financial assistance, including disaster relief, for NY-19’s 8,439 farmers.
• Endangering funding for the Head Start program that serves 36,785 children in New York. 

Bottom line: Josh Riley put a partisan stunt ahead of the livelihoods of everyday New Yorkers.
