Out of Touch as Can Be: Suozzi Hosting Golf Fundraiser on Day 1 of Shutdown
Two-Faced Tom Suozzi is as out of touch as can be. On day one of the costly shutdown HE voted for (and admitted hurts people’s lives), Suozzi is hosting a bougie golf fundraiser in Virginia.
And while Suozzi is living it up on the links, here’s what Long Island families will be staring down:
- Threats to their safety due to law enforcement officers, members of the military, and TSA workers being forced to work without pay.
- 17,658 veterans losing access to critical programs, including employment assistance.
- The 6,452 federal workers in NY-03 will also be forced to work without pay.
- Millions in loan financing for the state’s 2.4 million small businesses will be in jeopardy.
- Limited access to financial assistance, including disaster relief, for NY-03’s 53 farmers.
- Endangered funding for the Head Start program that serves 36,785 children in New York.
“While Tom Suozzi’s constituents suffer from the shutdown he voted for, Suozzi will be living it up on the golf course. He’s a two-faced, out of touch coward.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Maureen O’Toole
