Out of touch Democrat George Whitesides’ shutdown is a gut punch to seniors. By voting to close the government, Whitesides is risking delays in Medicare help and Social Security services, piling stress onto people who rely on them every single day. 

A new report warns seniors in California could even see delays in their Social Security cost-of-living adjustment, leaving less money for groceries, gas, and prescriptions.
