Min & Tran Rejects Millions for Rural Healthcare in California

January 16, 2026

Today, President Trump highlighted the rural healthcare fund that Republicans established for the American people. California is set to receive $233,639,308 million in critical funding to keep rural hospitals open, expand access to care, and ensure families aren’t forced to travel hours for basic medical services.

Vulnerable Democrats Derek Tran and Dave Min voted against this funding, endangering rural hospitals in California and across the country.

“Derek Tran and Dave Min’s vote against critical healthcare funding for California communities is a slap in the face to Californians who have continued to be ignored by Democrats. While Republicans deliver results, Tran and Min continue to play partisan political games.” – NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez
