Vindman Called Out for Lying About Securing District Funds

March 17, 2026

In case you missed it, out of touch Democrat Eugene Vindman was brutally called out by the Culpeper Star-Exponent for lying about securing critical funding for his district.

Vindman’s been bragging about securing $850,000 for a road extension project and $850,000 for improved safety at an elementary school in his district.

The problem? Vindman voted against that funding.

“Out of touch Eugene Vindman voted to deny 55,000 Virginia federal workers a paycheck, then he voted to deny his district critical federal funding. Vindman will always cave to his radical base at the expense of hardworking Virginians.” – NRCC Spokesman Reilly Richardson

Rep. Eugene Vindman, D-7th, spent a lot of time in the area recently handing out big checks for community projects for which he successfully lobbied — although he voted against federal appropriations for the projects.

[…]

The National Republican Congressional Committee is calling Vindman out, saying he touted $850,000 each for school projects in Culpeper and Gordonsville.

[…]

Richardson, with NRCC, took Vindman to task again for voting against something he worked for — apparently a common occurrence in Washington for politics.

“Democrat Eugene Vindman just made it crystal clear: he cares more about partisan politics than farmers, ranchers, and rural communities,” the Republican spokesperson said.

“Early this morning, the House Agriculture Committee passed a bipartisan Farm Bill that strengthens risk management, expands access to credit, lowers costs, and prioritizes American farmers. But Vindman voted no. At a time when producers are dealing with high input costs and burdensome regulations, Virginia farmers deserve certainty, not political games.

Richardson continued, “By voting against the Farm Bill, out-of-touch Democrat Eugene Vindman sided with Washington politicians over the hardworking farmers and producers who feed and fuel this country. Virginians deserve leaders who fight for producers, not partisan grandstanding.”
