Vasquez is the Problem

Last night, a deranged gunman attempted to assassinate President Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Thanks to the swift and decisive actions of the Secret Service, the suspect was apprehended before any serious harm could be done.

Democrats, including Gabe Vasquez, have repeatedly voted against funding for DHS and the Secret Service, undermining the very agencies tasked with protecting our elected officials and law enforcement personnel. Instead of fully funding and supporting law enforcement, Vasquez has sided with the violent left to score political points within his party. 

This attack is a dangerous consequence of the escalating political rhetoric embraced by the left, including Vasquez. Vasquez has a long history of slandering law enforcement, including saying ICE needs “melting” and has “no regard” for immigrants’ “humanity.”

Vasquez is also an ardent supporter of defunding the police, going as far as saying, “it’s not just about defunding the police, it’s about defunding a system that privileges white people over everybody else.”
