NRCC Launches First Coordinated Ad Campaign Following Landmark Supreme Court Ruling
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) today launched its first coordinated advertising campaigns since the Supreme Court’s decisive ruling in National Republican Senatorial Committee et al. v. Federal Election Commission, which struck down unconstitutional limits on coordinated party spending.
In June, the Supreme Court held that federal restrictions capping how much political parties may spend in coordination with their own candidates violate the First Amendment’s guarantee of free speech.
The coordinated ad campaigns with Rep. Rob Bresnahan, which will be featured on broadcast, cable, and radio advertising across the Scranton media market, mark the first use of the NRCC’s expanded coordination authority following the Supreme Court’s decision.

“The NRCC is proud to launch its first coordinated campaign under this historic Supreme Court decision alongside Congressman Rob Bresnahan, who continues delivering meaningful results for Northeast Pennsylvania. This historic ruling gives us the ability to better amplify the message House Republicans are already winning on as we continue building on the momentum that will grow our Republican majority in November.”– NRCC Spokesman Mike Marinella
